The Coven’s Cottage

- Hours: Mon-Thurs: 10 am – 6 pm, Fri and Sun: 10 am – 7 pm, Sat: 10 am – 8 pm
I absolutely love this shop. It was the first shop I visited on my very first visit to Salem and I always take my friends here when they come to visit. Coven’s Cottage focuses primarily on the Norse, Germanic, Celtic, and nature-based traditions. They offer products for many different pagan paths. I love their jewelry, crystals, and herbs.
Crow Haven
- Where: 125 Essex Street
- Hours: Daily: 11 am – 8 pm
Crow Haven is the oldest witch shop in Salem, and therefore, a must visit! They also have a famous love clairvoyant, how fun is that?
Hex Old World Witchery
- Where: 246 Essex Street
- Hours: Daily 11 am – 7 pm
- Face coverings are required to enter the shop.
Hex is the real deal. They have something for any magical need including oils, candles, soaps, potent charms, and even voodoo dolls. They are now offering soul jars that are handcrafted but they warn, that these jars need to be used responsibly.

The Cauldron Black

The Cauldron Black is exactly what you want it to be. They offer everything from psychic readings, to tarot card readings, to online courses. They have books, crystals, herbs, tarot cards and runes, anything and everything as they are purveyors of fine occult goods. Find out more here.
HausWitch Home + Healing
- Where: 141 Washington Street

This very cool shop provides locals and visitors alike with witchy handmade products! According to their website they “combine the principles of earth magic, meditation, herbalism, and interior decorating…” That sounds pretty great to me! Find out more here.
The Witch House Gift Shop

Just trust me, stop in here and check out all of the things this gift shop has to offer! Check out the antique wooden shelves and dried flowers in this small but charming shop.

Aroma Sanctum Perfumes

I love the essential oil perfumes here, my favorites are Avalon, Mermaid, and Persephone! But I’ve got my eye on a few more of the house blends!
Artemis Botanicals

Otherwise known as the witches’ apothecary, in this charming shop you will find dried flowers, herbs, and teas. The soap
Witch City Wicks
- Where: 302 Essex Street

You won’t regret a visit to Witch City Wicks. I love their candles, but they also offer a curated selection of books, jewelry, prints, and home décor. Their perfumes are amazing too! I’m thinking of trying Sea Witch next.
Harrison’s Comics & Pop Culture

Wicked Good Books

- Like many other independent bookstores that were forced to close during the pandemic, this gem was struggling. There is a GoFundMe here.
I just love this bookstore and I stop every time I’m in Salem. It’s an Independent bookstore that features new and used books, literary gifts, and home décor.
Ye Old Pepper Company
- Where: 122 Derby Street
- Hours: Daily 10 am – 5 pm
The history nerd in me loves this place simply because it’s America’s oldest continuously operating candy company. That’s right, they have been making delicious confections since 1806. Home of the famous Salem Gibraltar and Blackjacks, as well as a large selection of chocolates, fudges, taffies, caramels, and an array of nostalgic treats. Try the blackjacks!

New England Dog Biscuit Company
- Where: 7 Central Street
- Hours: Closed Mon-Tues, Wed-Fri 10 am – 5 pm, Sat 9 am – 5 pm, Sun 10 am – 4 pm
This is an adorable little pet shop that offers dog treats that my boys love! The treats are all-natural and homemade right in Salem, which is very cool. Bonus: you can now purchase their biscuits and cookies online.
