The Ultimate Winter Guide to the Grand Canyon

Here’s a secret that most people don’t know: winter might actually be the best time to visit the Grand Canyon. January transforms the Grand Canyon into a serene, snow-dusted wonderland, and while you may need to bundle up, this time of year offers advantages over peak season.

Hi! I'm Vanessa, a 30 something, sunset chasing traveler. I'm here to inspire you to travel wherever, whenever, and with whoever you can. My Huskies, Loki and Freya are usually along for the ride. I have a soul that likes to wander, a desire to experience the unknown, and a curiousity to discover things off the beaten path. I hope you'll stick around for awhile!

The photos don’t tell you the best thing about Whi The photos don’t tell you the best thing about White Sands

It’s not just the endless white dunes or the way they turn pink at sunset.

It’s that the sand stays cool enough for bare feet, and apparently, 3 very happy dogs.

As the sun dropped, the crowds thinned out, the light turned golden, and for a little while it felt like we’d wandered onto another planet.

We stayed until the rangers started making their “time to head home” rounds. I’d do it again tomorrow.

Would your dog be sprinting across the dunes…or refusing to get sand between their toes? 🐾👇
I spent 6 months living in Bar Harbor here’s what I spent 6 months living in Bar Harbor here’s what it taught me…

🦞⚓️ The best places rarely make the top-10 lists.

They’re the sandbar you have to catch at just the right tide. The trailhead hiding across from a random mailbox. The coffee that somehow tastes better when it’s just you, the lobster boats, and a harbor that’s still waking up.

This is the short version. 🦞 The free Bar Harbor Cheat Sheet (basically the whole town on one page) at the link in bio! Ridiculously detailed guides coming soon! 😉

What’s the place you loved so much you started gatekeeping it a little? 👇
The thing no photo gets right about Canyonlands: h The thing no photo gets right about Canyonlands: how small it makes you feel. A few million years of erosion will do that.

Stood at this edge and forgot every single thing on my to-do list.

Which Utah park wrecked you (in the best way): Canyonlands, Arches, Zion, Bryce, or one you had to yourself? 👇
